Keadaan ini boleh menyebabkan banjir di kawasan-kawasan yang berkedudukan rendah berdekatan tebing-tebing sungai. (II) Hujan sekejap-sekejap kadangkala lebat yang turun dari semasa ke semasa di Kelantan (Jajahan Tumpat, Kota Bharu, Bachok, Pasir Puteh, Machang, Tanah Merah, Jeli dan Kuala Krai), Terengganu (Daerah Besut, Setiu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun dan Kemaman) dan Pahang (Daerah Kuantan, Pekan dan Rompin) mulai Jumaat, 18 Disember 2009 dan dijangka berterusan sehingga Selasa malam, 22 Disember 2009. Keadaan ini boleh menyebabkan banjir di kawasan-kawasan yang berkedudukan rendah berdekatan tebing-tebing sungai.

This condition may cause floods in low-lying areas near the river banks.
